Clarke Restoration

Specialist stone restoration and conservation contractor with over 30 years' experience working on some of Northern Ireland's most significant listed buildings — including Stormont Parliament Buildings, Clifton House Belfast, Bushmills Distillery, and St Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan.

Clarke Restoration is a specialist stone restoration and conservation contractor based in County Fermanagh, with over thirty years of experience working on some of the most important listed buildings, landmarks, and historic structures in Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland.

Founded on a deep knowledge of traditional stone masonry, the company offers a comprehensive range of specialist services: stone cleaning using low-impact systems appropriate to the building's stone type and condition; lime mortar repointing matched in composition and finish to the original; stone repair and consolidation; stone carving and replacement; and new stonework in traditional materials. The company also undertakes internal cleaning using the TORC system, removal and careful storage of historic artefacts during works, and conservation of marble sculpture and statuary — a particularly demanding speciality that draws on their extensive experience with ecclesiastical buildings.

Clarke Restoration holds ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and Silverline accreditations, and works closely with the Historic Environment Division (HED) of the Northern Ireland Department for Communities, conservation architects, and main contractors. Their projects span the full range of heritage significance from Grade A listed civic landmarks to parish churches, historic distilleries, and scheduled monuments — and their work has been featured on Irish national television.
